About Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada
More than 80 years ago, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, the world’s foremost communications company, invented the concept of public relations. Since that time, we have worked hard to develop this discipline, all the while keeping it on the leading edge of the communications field throughout unprecedented economic, social and technological change.
Hill+Knowlton Canada was created in 1989 through the synergy of three specialist companies, each a leader in its field:
- PAI, Canada's original government relations firm, founded in 1973.
- Hill & Knowlton, the world's foremost communications company, founded in 1927, established in Canada in 1980.
- Decima Research, Canada's pathfinding opinion research firm, founded in 1979.
In 1999, we expanded our presence in Quebec by merging with Quebec City-based Ducharme Perron. The new company, Hill+Knowlton Stratégies, Hill+Knowlton is now one of Quebec's largest public relations and public affairs consulting firms. It proudly offers services in both official languages.
In 2004, we expanded further with the acquisition of Alberta based Sparks + Noble, a leading public relations and public affairs agency that specialized in the energy sector, as well as Calgary-based Hill+Knowlton Result in 2006, which brought us expert annual report and financial document development capabilities.
