CAMPAIGN FOR A CAUSE

War Child Canada wanted to launch a provocative multimedia campaign to call attention to children who have been forced or drafted into armed groups. Hill+Knowlton Digital took the campaign “viral,” designing a program comprised of three components: blogger outreach, Facebook optimization and Twitter-enablement. Social media users embraced the Help Child Soldiers campaign. War Child’s donations remained steady during a period where most charities were reporting a 30 per cent drop in donations and the online campaign remains almost 20 per cent ahead of War Child’s prior campaign.
