INVESTING FOR THE FUTURE

Built in the late 1920s, the Port of Prescott had undergone many improvements over the years, but the main infrastructure had never been replaced. A vital artery for the shipping community, the Port was at risk of collapse and incapable of serving the storage needs of the eastern Ontario agricultural community. However, the Port required significant funding to make improvements and turned to Hill+ Knowlton for a federal/provincial government outreach strategy. The result: $11.5 million in federal money and $11.5 million from the provincial government to construct a new wharf and additional funding to build new grain storage bins.
