SECURITY IN THE SKIES
Northrop Grumman relied on Hill+Knowlton to introduce a defence technology into Canada that would enhance the self-defence capability of the nation’s new fleet of Chinook helicopters. However, there were significant barriers to its procurement. H+K’s procurement team drew upon its unmatched experience with Canadian procurement processes, relationships with the Department of National Defence and Public Works and Government Services Canada – and insight into U.S. State Department and Secretary of the Air Force controls – to ensure a successful conclusion. Canada’s Chinook helicopters are now equipped with a level of self-defence that is unprecedented for this type of aircraft.
