Vice President, Public Affairs - Alberta
Hill+Knowlton is currently looking for a vice president, public affairs to join our team in Alberta.
The vice president is responsible for providing senior public affairs counsel to clients, for generating significant new business opportunities for the firm and for the day-to-day management of one or more significant accounts. The vice president provides mentorship to the account team while ensuring the quality of the work meets H+K’s high standards
Qualifications
- Minimum ten years of public policy and regulatory experience related to Alberta provincial responsibilities for energy and the environment
- In-depth knowledge and network within natural resources, energy and environment sectors, non-governmental organisations and the provincial government
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships within an organization and within the business community
- Strong experience managing a team from a financial, client delivery and staffing perspective
- Excellent presentation skills including the ability to communicate and sell ideas to prospects and clients
- Proven ability to lead and work well in a high-performing team
- Demonstrated ability to manage large budget, complex accounts/client program, or multiple client activities simultaneously
- A sense of judgment to set realistic expectations in the face of client demands
- Social media literacy a definite asset
